Fox Takes Top OHL Honours
Thamesville’s Dane Fox is the OHL’s Overage Player of the Year.
Fox led the league in scoring with 64 goals and came second in league scoring with 107 points in 67 games for the Erie Otters.
“I’m pretty overwhelmed and honoured to receive the award,” Fox said in a news release. “There were a lot of great players up for this. I am pretty excited to be taking this home, but I am still focused on the main goal. I want to win a championship in my final OHL season, that’s the trophy I want.”
The 20-year-old Vancouver Canucks prospect was the unanimous choice for the award, receiving 93 of a maximum 95 points in the voting process.
