The business professional of the year has become a Chatham-Kent booster. Christine Stover is a paralegal who came to the area with her husband to raise a family in his hometown and came to love it.

“It has amazing business opportunities for people growing their business just starting out, there’s a lot of resources here to offer new businesses,” she says. “And there’s a lot to offer families.”

Stover was presented the Business Professional award at last night’s Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce 126th Business Excellence Awards.

Citizens of the Year are Bryan and Shannon Prince, the Downtown Chatham Centre was named the Corporate Citizen, Winmar won for Business Excellence, the Industry award went to Dresden Industrial, Entrepreneur was Advanced Basement Systems, and Jessica Bosazzi was named the Youth Entrepreneur.
