Chatham-Kent’s “Sunshine List”

The municipality is out with its public sector salary disclosure of public employees who made more than $100,000 in 2013.

 At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, President and CEO Colin Patey made over $284,000, while Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief of Staff Dr. Martin Lees brought in almost $240,000.

As for municipal staff, Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby tops the list at over $228,000, with approximately $40,000 of it coming from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, which is paid by the Province to Chatham-Kent to administer. CAO Don Shropshire comes in over $186,000, and GM of Corporate Services Gerry Wolting totaled more than $173,000.

Chatham-Kent Police Chief Dennis Poole topped the list of nearly 60 police officers, taking in over $191,000. Assistant fire chiefs Rick Scharf and Rick Arnel made over $113,000 each to lead the more than 50 firefighters and fire officials on the list. The Chatham-Kent Fire Chief’s salary was not included because he was not in his role for the full year.
