Car Chase Leads to Arrest

A 32-year-old man is facing charges after running from Chatham-Kent police.
Officers on patrol on Vanier Dr. in Chatham say the man accelerated and sped off when he spotted their police cruiser around 1am this morning.
Police say he took off on foot when they caught up to him on Madonna Cres., he was found hiding in a nearby hedge.
Further investigation revealed the Chatham man was prohibited from driving in Canada. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days and he was charged for driving while disqualified.
