Total Receipts 2618 cattle 478 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed cattle sold on a strong active trade at prices of a $1 higher. Choice strs & hfrs $175.00-$181.00, high of $185.25. Second cut $169.00-175.00. Cows sold on a strong active trade at steady prices.
Thursday A larger run of veal saw beef veal calves trading strong at fully steady prices while Holstein veal calves sold under pressure. Lambs sold higher on an active demand. Sheep sold at higher prices and goats sold steady.
Friday All classes of cattle sold on a strong active trade at steady prices.

Steers

Isaiah H. Bauman of Wellesley consigned fifteen cattle that averaged 1500 lbs and sold for an average price of 182.00. Two char steers averaged 1490 lbs and sold to Horizon Meat Packers for an average price of 185.25

Dave Golley of Wingham consigned three cattle that averaged 1142 lbs and sold for an average price of 177.00. Two red steers averaged 1133 lbs and sold for 183.00

Heifers

Jim Pol of Stratford consigned two char heifers that averaged 1395 lbs and sold to St. Helens Meat Packers for an average price of 183.00

David Bowles of Brussels consigned five cattle that averaged 1579 lbs and sold for an average price of 179.00 One black heifer weighed 1470 lbs sold to St. Helens Meat Packers for 179.00.
