Total Receipts 2713 cattle 376 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed cattle sold on a strong active trade at higher prices. Choice strs & hfrs $175.00-$180.00. Second cut $168.00-175.00. Cows sold steady.
Thursday A lighter run due to weather saw veal selling on a good strong demand with Holstein calves selling steady to last week`s stronger market. Lambs, sheep and goats sold steady.
Friday All classes of cattle sold on a strong active trade at steady prices.

Steers

Connell Farms of Palmerston consigned fourty cattle that averaged 1526 lbs and sold for an average price of 169.79. Six black steers averaged 1547 lbs and sold to Cargill Meat Solutions for an average price of 177.50.

Mark & Elaine Fisher of Ayton consigned three cattle that averaged 1313 lbs and sold for an average price of 167.00. One bwf steer weighed 1325 lbs and sold to Norwich Meat Packers for 176.00

Heifers

Martin Metske of Lucknow consigned twelve cattle that averaged 1388 lbs and sold for an average price of 177.58 One blk heifer weighed 1365 lbs and sold to Norwich Meat Packers for 180.00.

Darren Johnston Farm of Bluevale consigned fourty-six cattle that averaged 1337 lbs and sold for an average price of 169.48. Two red heifers averaged 1420 lbs and sold to Norwich Meat Packers for an average price of 174.25.
