Total Receipts, 2350 cattle 669 lambs & goats
Summary Tuesday Fed cattle sold on a strong demand at prices of $4 higher. Choice strs & hfrs $157.00-162.00 with a high of $169.00, second cut $154.00-157.00. Cows sold on a fully active trade at prices $3 – $5 higher.
Thursday Holstein veal calves are selling on a steady market while beef calves are selling $5 higher than last week. A good offering of lambs sold on a lower demand. Sheep sold on an active trade at barely steady prices. Kid goats sold on a strong active trade.
Friday All cattle sold on a strong active trade at steady prices.
Steers

David Bowles of Brussels consigned four steers that averaged 1491 lbs and sold for an average price of 159.57. One limo steer averaged 1575 lbs and sold to Horizon Meat Packers for an average price of 164.75.
Larry Reinhart Sr. of Mildmay consigned two limo steers that averaged 1503 lbs and sold to St. Helen’s Meat Packers for 163.00.

Heifers

David Bowles, Brussels consigned 7 heifers that averaged 1369 lbs and sold for an average price of 162.92. Three limo heifers averaged 1383 lbs and sold to Norwich Meat Packers for an average price of 169.00.
Andy Vanderveen of Blyth consigned six heifers that averaged 1361 lbs and sold for an average price of 163.10. One limo heifer weighed 1285 lbs and sold to Norwich Meat Packers for 167.00.
