Total Receipts, 2643 cattle 675 lambs & goats
Summary Tuesday Fed cattle sold on a strong active trade at prices of $1 higher. Choice strs & hfrs $150.00-155.00 with a high of $168.00, second cut $146.00-150.00. Cows sold on a strong active trade at steady prices.
Thursday A large run of veal sold under pressure with Holstein calves selling $2 – $3 lower and beef calves down $3-$5. Light lambs sold steady and heavy lambs sold lower due to the week`s decline. Sheep sold on a good active trade at steady prices. Kid goats sold on a good active trade at steady prices. Nanny goats sold steady.
Friday All cattle sold on a strong active trade with calves selling $5-$10 higher and yearlings selling fully steady.
Steers

Randy Diebold of Cargill consigned 13 steers that averaged 1486 lbs and sold for an average price of 157.00. One steer weighed 1485 lbs and sold to Norwich Meat Packers for 161.25.
Fred Schapelhouman of Jasper consigned 9 steers that averaged 1482 lbs and sold for an average price of 154.00. One limo steer weighed 1510 lbs and sold for 156.75.

Heifers

David Bowles of Brussels consigned 10 heifers that averaged 1370 lbs and sold for an average price of 155.55. One blk heifer averaged 1385 lbs and sold to Horizon Meat Packers for 168.00.
