GFO: Managing stress
by Megan Wright
Harvest season is a stressful time for farmers. Long hours in the field and worrying about the weather and crop condition can put a strain on your mental well-being.
Grain Farmers of Ontario will be hosting a farmer wellness webinar series to equip farmers with useful tools for stress management, getting better sleep, decreasing anxiety, and to stop worrying.
The first webinar tackling stress management will be held on September 4 at 10 a.m. Participants will learn how to shift from defence to performance, learn brain and body calming techniques, and how to identify the most common stress escalators.
