Grey Bruce Farmers’ Week is going virtual for the 55th version of the week long event.

It usually happens in early January at the Elmwood Community Centre but due to the pandemic, organizers have arranged live streaming of the presenters. As well, those who sign in will be able to ask questions, interact with trade show exhibitors and talk to their neighbours. Farmers’ Week is put on by Grey County Agricultural Services. Organizer Lorie Smith says the week is so important to farmers they just had to proceed.

“Grey Bruce Farmers’ Week has been a touchstone for everybody for the past 54 years so entering our 55th year we had to be there. It’s going to be new and different but we really hope that producers will take that leap of faith and get on board to the virtual event,” said Smith.

Grey Bruce Farmers’ Week goes from January 5th to January 12 with each day devoted to different commodity. For more information go to the website www.gbfw.ca.
