GFO cancels March Classic

The March Classic in London has been cancelled.

It was scheduled for March 24.

But because the Ontario government advised that all events hosting more than 250 people be cancelled to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, GFO officials say cancelling the event was the safest decision.

“The March Classic is one of the premier events in Ontario agriculture and we are incredibly proud of the work our team has done each year in making this a world-class conference. We have been watching the COVID-19 situation closely as it unfolds in Ontario and we deliberated on whether or not to move forward with the show, but our concerns for farmer-members safety, and the safety of all attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and staff, ultimately led to the decision to cancel the conference” said Barry Senft, CEO, Grain Farmers of Ontario.

The event has traditionally attracted more than 1,000 people to the area.
