The increase in total cash receipts for Ontario dairy farmers continues to push ahead of the national average.
Statistics Canada reports provincial producers during the month of January saw a 9.5 per cent boost in receipts to $180 million.
The nation as a whole had year-over-year receipts top $548 million, up by 7.4 per cent from 2016 and $3 million more than a month earlier.
StatsCan notes, while the cash may be up, total volumes are actually down by almost 6 points.
The agency also points out total sales of milk in January decrease by 7.2 per cent from a year earlier to 207,000 kilolitres.
