Tiverton native Tom Evans grew up on a farm, and now he’s off to represent Canada in the art of Reverse Plowing.

The 2016 Senior Reverse Plow Champion is off to Kenya to compete next year and says the plane ticket is the easy part – getting the equipment there is another thing:

“At the moment we’re planning to rent or borrow a new tractor in Kenya.  We’re going to ship tires and wheels to put on it,” said Evans.

“The plow manufacturer, Kverneland from Norway, will be shipping plows for us to use.”

Mayor Anne Eadie presented Evans with a plaque on behalf of Kincardine Council for his achievements.

Evans says he’s honoured to be able to represent his country in plowing doing something he loves to do.
