Ridgetown Not Seeing Impact Of Eastern Campus Closures

(With reporting from Trevor Thompson)

The impending closure of the University of Guelph’s Kemptville and Alfred campus hasn’t translated into a large spike in interest in Ridgetown.

Director Ken McEwan says they’ve had some interest from parents and students.

But he figures whatever impact the Eastern Ontario campus closures will have on Ridgetown will be relatively modest.

Both Kemptville and Alfred are slated to close in 2015.

Ridgetown Director Ken McEwan says they haven’t seen any clear sign of that happening yet.

McEwan says any impact may not happen until after those closures take effect next year.
