Grain Transportation Discussed In Ag Trade Mission To Asia
Problems getting this country’s grain to it’s buyers came up for discussion as part of a recent agricultural trade mission to Korea and Japan.
Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz apparently did some reassuring with his Korean and Japanese counterparts that steps are being taken to improve the situation.
Ritz led a delegation of moe than 30 agriculture associations and companies on that mission.
Part of the aim of the trip was to try to capitalise on the recently concluded Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement.
The Minister also used meetings in Japan to underscore the importance of making progress on both the Canada-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
