CRFA: Biofuels Industry Has Sizeable Economic & Environmental Benefits

The President of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association says Canada is facing real environmental challenges.

But W. Scott Thurlow says we also have significant opportunities.

The CRFA has released a new plan for Canada’s renewable fuels industry and emerging bioeconomy.

Thurlow says the plan will help Canada capitalize on what he calls the sizeable economic and environmental benefits of it’s domestic biofuels industry.

He says it will create a virtual cycle of investment for Canadian innovation.

The plan lists three key priorities, including becoming a clean energy superpower.

Another is growing market access and expanding the use of biofuels.

The third is creating incentives for real environmental benefits with a fair market value for greenhouse gas emissions.

The Association is a non-profit organisation with a mission to promote the use of value added products made from renewable resources.
