USDA: Winter Wheat Crop Quality On-Par With 2013
The USDA has issued it’s first crop progress report of the year.
The report puts the U-S winter wheat crop at 35 per cent good to excellent.
That’s just one point lower than last year’s 36 per cent at this point.
29 per cent of this year’s crop is rated poor to very poor.
Last year it was 30 per cent.
As could be expected, this week’s USDA report didn’t include any planting numbers for either corn or soybeans.
