Kincardine Cannabis Producer Scores Provincial Supply Agreements; Plans To Double Workforce

Greenhouse operation ‘7Acres’ has announced some major supply deals as Canada inches closer to federal legalization of recreational marijuana.

The subsidiary of Supreme Cannabis has agreed to supply Manitoba, Alberta & British Columbia to provide recreational cannabis to private retailers.

7Acres General Manager Ram Davloor says the agreements fits the company’s business model of “selling wholesale to distributors….so this essentially fits in with our strategy we’ve been following in the past”. Davloor feels this secures demand for the company, noting the company will know exactly how much they have to produce moving forward, and “from that, we can expand appropriately and hire more people”.

7Acres Communication Specialist Jenny Posthumus says while the company currently does not have any supply agreements with Ontario, but notes “our product will be on Ontario shelves and we are just waiting at this time”.

7 Acres currently has 170 workers, but Davloor feels this number will grow to 300 by the end of this year, and as high as 400 by next summer.
