Jr. hockey wrap-up – September 14, 2018

The Vipers fell 7-5 to the St. Marys Lincolns in GOJHL action on Friday.

AJ Ryan scored a hat-trick for LaSalle, while Brett Vorshuk and Kory Silverio both scored once.

The Vipers will return home on Wednesday to take on the Leamington Flyers at 7 p.m.

As well, the Leamington Flyers tied the St. Thomas Stars 3-3 after double overtime.

Ryan Gagnier, Kade McKibbin and Johnny Ulicny each scored once for Leamington.

The Flyers are in Sarnia on Saturday to battle the Legionnaires at 7:10 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Lakeshore Canadiens topped the Wheatley Sharks 4-1 in their season opener.

Jarrett Tazzman led Lakeshore with two goals, while Steven Sartor and Blake Bain both scored once.

Drew Denomey scored the Sharks only goal of the game.

The Canadiens will travel to Essex on Tuesday to face off against the 73's at 7 p.m. And then on Wednesday, the Sharks are back in Wheatley to play the Mooretown Flags at 7:30 p.m.

And the Dresden Kings beat the Petrolia Flyers 7-2.

Eric Carter led Dresden with two goals, while Nolen Vandanborn, Brendan Ritchie, Kenny Chisolm, Noah Fox and Brantley Kuipers all scored one goal.

The Kings are in Wallaceburg next to take on the Lakers on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
