Spits Trim Lineup, Release Two Forwards

The Windsor Spitfires have released forwards Kirill Kozhevnikov and Adam Kadlec.

Spits General Manager Warren Rychel made the announcement Monday, that leaves the hockey club with 23 players — 13 forwards, seven defencemen and three goalies.

Kozhevnikov was picked 46th in the first-round of the 2017 CHL Import Draft. The 18-year-old played in 33 games, scoring four times and adding three assists.

Kadlec, 18, joined the Spitfires after stints with the Prince George Cougars and Prince Albert Raiders. He played 23 games and had three assists.

The move comes a day after the hockey club announced that it had traded forward Logan Brown and defenceman Austin McEneny to the Kitchener Rangers.
