Spitfires Shut Out in Hamilton 2-0

The Windsor Spitfires were unable to complete a sweep of their weekend series.

Nick Donofrio stopped all 23 Windsor shots in goal as the Hamilton Bulldogs blanked the Spitfires 2-0 Sunday afternoon at the FirstOntario Centre.

The Spits currently sit in third place in the OHL West Division with 23 points.

The first period was scoreless, but Windsor's Austin McEneny served the period's only penalty, a high-sticking call.

Hamilton doubled their lead in the third period when Arthur Kaliyev put the puck in an an empty net, after Spitfires goalie Brock Baier was pulled for the extra attacker..

Baier stopped 15 shots out of 16 he faced in goal.
