Spits Trade McCool To Generals

The Windsor Spitfires have traded forward Hayden McCool to the Oshawa Generals.

The trade was announced Tuesday evening, with Windsor receiving Oshawa's fourth round pick in 2020 in exchange for the 20-year-old overage player.

“Hayden wanted to finish his OHL career close to home,” says Spits General Manager Warren Rychel. “We were able to come to an agreement to make that happen. He'll give them leadership and a veteran presence in the room.”

McCool is native of Newtonville, which is just outside of Oshawa. In his three seasons with the Spitfires, McCool posted 35 goals, 46 assists and 157 penalty minutes in 176 regular season games, and 12 playoff games.
