Express Beat A's In Wild Double OT Battle

The Windsor Express edged the Orangeville A's 111-110 in a nail biting, double overtime victory on Wednesday.

The Express trailed the A's by one point at the end of the first quarter, but Windsor battled back to take a 51-43 lead at halftime.

Windsor continued to lead 77-68 at the end of the third, however, Orangeville jumped ahead in the fourth frame to take a one point lead with 50 seconds left in the game.  After a hard fought quarter, the both teams had 95 points a piece to force overtime.

The game remained tied and was forced into double overtime. The Express were down 110-108 with 16 seconds left on the clock, but Windor clinched the win thanks to a game winning three pointer by Warren Ward.

Ward also put up a game high 33 points for Windsor and had four rebounds. Nick Evans put up 16 points and five rebounds, while Juan Pattillo had 15 and 16 rebounds.

The Express are at the Meridian Centre on Friday to take on the Niagara River Lions at 7pm.
