The Windsor Spitfires were trounced 6-1 by the Owen Sound Attack on Thursday, in their final home game of the regular season at the WFCU Centre.
Tyler Angle scored early in the first period to give Windsor a 1-0 lead. However, the Attack responded with two goals of their own to make it 2-1 going into the second.
Owen Sound laid into the Spitfires in the second, scoring four back-to-back goals to take a five point lead. The Attack held off Windsor in a scoreless final period to ensure their win.
Owen Sound also outshot Windsor 29-20.
The Spitfires will take on the Saginaw Spirit on Saturday in Windsor's final game of the regular season. The puck drops at 7:05pm in Saginaw.
