Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – January 13, 2017

The Dresden Kings beat the Mooretown Flags 5-2 in PJHL action on Friday.

Ryan Malott was top scorer with two goals, while Will Tetzlaff, Kevin Ritzer and Geoffry VandenBoorn scored one each for Dresden.

The Kings are at home on January 20 to take on the Blenheim Blades at 7:30pm.

The Lakeshore Canadiens picked up their eighth straight win on Friday, with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Essex 73's.

Ameen Fadel led Lakeshore with two goals, while JJ Percy and Brandon Ireland each scored once. Jake Nimmo scored the game winner in OT.

William Stadder, Michael Ruttinger, Tyler Scott and Tyler Boughner all scored a goal for Essex.

The Canadiens will return to the ice on Sunday to take on the Blades in Blenheim at 7pm. And on Tuesday, the 73's at home against the Blades at 7pm.

And in the GOJHL, the Leamington Flyers were shutout 1-0 by the St. Marys Lincolns.

Bill Moskal scored the only goal of the game for St. Marys.

The Flyers are in LaSalle on Wednesday to battle the Vipers at 7pm.
