One of the biggest fires Windsor has ever seen caused $4M in damage

A massive industrial blaze in Walkerville has caused $4 million in damage, according to Windsor fire officials.

Wednesday's fire at Argyle Road and Ottawa Street lasted 20 hours and took dozens of firefighters to put it out. The Ontario Fire Marshal's office is continuing to investigate to determine the cause and the origin of the fire.

Nobody was hurt as a result of the blaze.

Heavy smoke could be seen for miles. Four aerial trucks and three ground hose crews were on the scene at one point fighting the blaze because it kept flaring up.

The Shoppers Drug Mart and Classic Bingo next door also had to be evacuated.
