One Charged In Leamington Break-In

A suspect has been arrested in a break-and-enter that happened in Leamington two weeks ago.

Ontario Provincial Police say a 32-year-old man has been charged in the crime, which took place August 6 at a home on Oak St W. Police say it happened around 5:20am on Oak St. W. near Nicholas St. The male homeowner answered the front door and three people carrying weapons pushed their way inside. Two of the suspects were wearing masks. The third was not and police say he is known to the victims. A woman in the house tried to flee out a window and injured herself in the process.

Police say the arrested man is charged with break-and-enter, two counts each of robbery using a firearm and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, pointing a firearm, committing a robbery to steal a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

The other two suspects are still at large.
