Parks Canada has lifted the algae warning in place for the Point Pelee National Park area.
The warning had been put in place because of visible blue-green algae blooms in Lake Erie.
Officials had said there was a potential health risk for visitors and their pets because of the blooms. The beaches area also open for picnicking, walking, and other land-based recreational activities.
Visitors are asked to contact Point Pelee National Park directly for more information about beach accessibility before visiting at pelee.info@pc.gc.ca or 519-322-2365.
