Environment Canada has terminated a special air quality statement for Windsor-Essex.
The weather agency issued the statement Saturday morning, as possibly high levels of air pollution were expected .
Hot and sunny conditions were expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations Saturday afternoon and early evening. Moderate risk air quality health index (AQHI) values were expected throughout Saturday with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.
The statement ended shortly after 10pm Saturday.
