Memorials Set For Sergio Marchionne

Sergio Marchionne, the late CEO of Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles, will be remembered in a pair of memorials.

A funeral Mass for Marchionne will take place on September 14 at the Turin Cathedral in Italy, according to a report by Crain's Automotive News.

Cesare Nosiglia, Archbishop of Turin, will preside over the Italian Mass, which according to FCA will be open to the public.

There is also a memorial service set for September 27 at Fiat-Chrysler's North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

It was not immediately known if the Auburn Hills service will be open only to FCA employees and honoured guests, or to the public as well.

Marchionne, who was named CEO of Fiat-Chrysler in 2004, died unexpectedly last week at age 66, due to complications arising from shoulder surgery.

He lived for many years in Canada and attended the University of Windsor.
