Charges After Pedestrian And Two Drivers Struck On E.C. Row Exwy

Windsor police have a couple of warnings for the public after a serious accident on the E.C. Row Exwy sent three people to the hospital.

The warnings come after two drivers and a pedestrian were rushed to the hospital after the crash shortly before 11pm Tuesday in the eastbound lanes of the E.C. Row between Howard Ave. and Dougall Ave.

It was raining very heavily at the time when a speeding vehicle hit a guardrail.

The driver of a second vehicle saw the accident, pulled over, and went to check on the first driver when a third vehicle struck both him and the original car.

Initially, police feared the injuries would be very severe, but after arriving at the hospital, health officials confirmed none of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 26-year-old Windsor man is charged with careless driving and driving under suspension.

Police remind the public to adjust their speed when the weather is poor, and never walk on busy roads like the E.C. Row.
