The Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 31-year-old Essex man with careless driving after a crash that sent a family of four to the hospital.
Around 4:30pm Sunday, police say an eastbound vehicle on County Rd. 18 was hit by another vehicle travelling northbound on County Rd. 15 in the Town of Essex.
Two adults and two children were in the eastbound vehicle. They suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The lone driver in the northbound vehicle was not hurt.
The crash closed the intersection for about one hour while police investigated.
