UPDATE: Hwy 3 Buckling In Heat...Again

An Essex County highway is affected by intense heat, once more.

Ontario Provincial Police did close Hwy 3 westbound at Talbot Rd., but has since reopened it.

The OPP say the road is buckling in the westbound lanes, or according to their Twitter account, experiencing deteriorating road conditions.

This is not the first time Hwy 3 is buckling under extreme heat this summer, as pointed out by Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara, who posted a photo of the pavement on his official Twitter account.

The road was still shut down as of 10:30pm Sunday.
