No Foul Play After Girl Steps On Nail Board In Park

Two boys have stepped up and taken responsibility for a board of nails that injured a girl at Realtor Park.

Police say a 9-year-old girl stepped on the nails on Sunday while playing at the east Windsor park.

Her injury was minor but her father was concerned that the nail board was possibly set as a trap because it was in a hole in the ground and could have hurt someone else.

A parent called police Monday night to tell them that the boys were playing in the park and set the board with nails in a hole to catch rodents and meant no harm.

Police say the boys were extremely remorseful and informed their parents as soon as they realized someone had been injured.

Police have determined that there was no foul play or intent to cause harm.
