Police Search For Suspect After Victim Robbed, Stabbed

Windsor police have released the description of a suspect wanted in a stabbing and robbery Wednesday.

Around 8pm, officers responded to a call from a man who said he was walking with a man in the area of Bruce Ave. and University Ave. W when his companion suggested stopping by the home of a friend of his.

The victim says once he was inside the house, his companion and another man demanded his money and assaulted him.

He was able to break free and call the police. Paramedics also treated him for minor injuries.

Police identified the one suspect and arrested him at a nearby home when they allegedly saw him jump from a window and try to run away.

A 29-year-old Windsor man was arrested with the help of the K9 unit and faces multiple charges of robbery and assault with a weapon.

The second suspect is still at large, and he is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, who is 5'10" tall with brown hair. He was wearing black pants.

Anyone with information should call the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477. Tips can also be submitted online.
