Officials are looking for the cause of a house fire on Broadway St. in Belle River.
A man was woken up early Monday morning by his dogs barking.
When he looked around, he found the fire in a room at the back of his garage.
By the time firefighters got there, half the house was engulfed.
Broadway was closed between 11th St. and Ducharme St. while firefighters worked to put out the fire.
No one was hurt, but Lakeshore Deputy Fire Chief John Quennell says the house is a "total loss."
