Windsor Man Arrested After Storage Units Broken Into

A Windsor man is facing charges after an alert manager noticed multiple break-ins at his business.

Windsor police say the manager, who runs a storage facility on Walker Rd. near Wyandotte St. E, called them on Monday to report that several storage units had been broken into.

Two more units were reportedly burglarized on Wednesday.

The manager noticed a man who had purchased a unit of his own. He happened to look inside the man's unit and recognized items that had been reported stolen from some of the other units.

Police were then called with the updated information. Officers soon arrived and arrested the man without incident.

The 34-year-old man is charged with break and enter and two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The WPS Property Crimes Unit is investigating. Anyone with additional information should give them a call at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-8477 (TIPS).
