A man was rescued from the Detroit River early Wednesday morning by the Canadian Coast Guard's search and rescue crew.
The man was first spotted in the Amherstburg channel of the river by the Boblo Island car ferry crew around 12:20am. He was pulled from the water by the coast guard and ferry crew at the shore by the Amherstburg Coast Guard base.
First aid was given by the crew until an ambulance arrived to take the man to a Windsor hospital.
