Windsor Resuming Bulk Furniture Pickups

If you have some old furniture to get rid of, the City of Windsor can help.

The city has resumed the scheduling of pickups for bulk furniture, effective April 7. A crew will collect any bulk furniture for a fee of $10 per item, with a maximum of two items per pickup, per household.

All residents have to do is call 311 and book an appointment.

Following a directive by city council, the city's bulk furniture collection program was started last year. It resumes in 2018 with a lower fee.

There will be two collection cycles for bulk items each month, covering the entire city.

Pickups will not be done by the city unless an appointment is made through 311. Call 8am to 5pm weekdays except holidays, and you will be advised on open dates and times.

Payment can be done through credit card over the phone, or cash and debit at the city's Customer Care Centres.

Complete information on acceptable items, schedules and more can be found on the residential bulk furniture collection page at the city's official website.
