Police say a teenager whose body was found in a Windsor alleyway, was shot to death.
Officers responded to the alley off Church St. between Caroline St. and Newbury St. around 7am on Wednesday, after receiving a report that a male was lying in the alley.
Sergeant Steve Betteridge says witnesses in the neighbourhood reported hearing a gunshot before dawn Wednesday.
The victim, who has been identified as 16-year-old Chance Gauthier, died from a gunshot wound, according to police. No weapon has been recovered.
Gauthier was known to frequent downtown Windsor.
The WPS Major Crimes Division is continuing its investigation.
