Cash, Cocaine Seized by Windsor Police

A 30-year-old man is facing drug charges following a raid by Windsor police.

Members of the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) executed a search warrant Wednesday at a house at Acorn Crt. near Cabana Rd.

Officers seized over $11,000 in Canadian cash and over $1,800 in U.S. currency. Also taken from the house were 15.3 g of suspected cocaine, 5 9g of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, and a cell phone.

Isaiah Alvin of Windsor was arrested Wednesday night at a home on Jos. Janisse Ave near Wyandotte St. E. He is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cannabis.
