New Suspect Charged In Graffiti Spree

Windsor police have arrested and charged a 49-year-old man with mischief for a spree of Islam-themed graffiti sprayed throughout downtown Windsor last week.

A different man was arrested on Friday, but a police investigation determined he was not responsible and he was released.

On Saturday around 1pm, police arrested another suspect on Ouellette Ave. The 49-year-old suspect is charged with 16 counts of mischief.

The graffiti found on bus shelters and businesses in downtown Windsor on Wednesday read "Islam kills drug dealers" and referenced a passage from the bible.
