Police Seek Information After Two Pedestrians Hit By Vehicles

Windsor police hope the public can provide them with more information after two separate collisions last Friday where pedestrians were hit by vehicles.

The first was just before 2pm at the corner of Goyeau St. and Elliott St. East in downtown Windsor.

A 56-year-old man was struck by a silver Dodge Caravan in the intersection. He died over the weekend in the hospital.

The second incident was at 5:30pm in the intersection of Huron Church Rd. and Tecumseh Rd. W where a 17-year-old man was hit by a transport truck.

He was rushed to a hospital in Detroit with critical injuries and remains in critical condition.

Police spoke with the driver and witnesses at the scene but hope others who saw the accident will come forward.

The intersection was closed for several hours while the Accident Reconstruction Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit investigated.
