It will be back to night closures at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel starting Monday night.
The tunnel will resume its nightly closures at 8pm, and the tunnel will reopen at 5:30am. These closures will continue from Sunday night to Friday morning.
The tunnel is in the midst of a major ceiling reconstruction project, which began in October.
The construction was placed on hiatus due to the American Thanksgiving holiday weekend, making things a little easier for those traveling to work in the U.S., as well as those heading to sporting events, holiday shopping, and visiting family and friends.
These weeknight closures will continue on and off through summer 2018 to allow crews to properly make progress on the ceiling work.
For the Christmas and New Year's holidays, construction will be suspended again between Saturday, December 23 and Sunday, January 1.
