The woman injured as a result of an alleged drunk driver has now passed away.
Cindy Harrison was the passenger in a Buick that was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle on McHugh St. late Sunday.
Windsor police say the driver of the Buick showed signs of impairment upon arrival. A 46-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm and two counts of exceeding a blood alcohol level of 80 mg. Charges against him have not been upgraded at this time.
Family and friends of Harrison have set up a Go Fund Me campaign to help support her two children. Harrison was a single mother to a 19-year-old and a 4-year-old. There are also plans for a benefit, but the details have not been finalized.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were also hurt and taken to hospital with minor and serious injuries.
