Children's Identification And Shredding Clinic In Kingsville

The Ontario Provincial Police's Kingsville Community Policing Committee is holding a free clinic Saturday so parents can have their children fingerprinted.

While child abduction rates have been falling since 1987 in Canada, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Poly Kaas Foundation in the U.S. recommends parents have their child fingerprinted in the event they go missing.

Saturday's clinic at Unico Hall in Kingsville will provide parents with a kit consisting of their child's height, weight, digital fingerprints, voice recognition, and DNA. It is being offered in conjunction with the MASONS C.H.I.P. program.

The same clinic is also offering businesses and residents the opportunity to shred sensitive documents. That service will be provided by First Stop Shredding Services of Windsor.
