Sting Double Spitfires 6-3

The Windsor Spitfires fell 6-3 to the Sarnia Sting in OHL action on Friday.

The Sting drew first blood with a goal in the first couple minutes of the game, but Logan Brown scored one for Windsor 7:41 into the first period. William Sirman added another goal after 15 minutes to give the Spits a 2-1 advantage.

Windsor's lead was short lived, with Sarnia scoring two back-to-back goals in the second to jump ahead 3-2 heading into the final frame.

Aaron Luchuk tied the game for the Spitfires just over two minutes into the third, but Sarnia was able to score three more unanswered goals to earn the win over Windsor.

Goaltender Brock Baier made 21 saves out of 26 shots on net. Lucas Patton took over part way into the third period, and made six saves, letting in one goal.

The Spitfires return to the WFCU Centre on Sunday to take on the London Knights at 2:05pm.
