Windsor Alters Service Hours For Monday

The City of Windsor is changing its service hours for Monday this week.

The special hours are due to Remembrance Day, which fell on a Saturday this year. Some city services will be closed with others open.

Windsor City Hall and all city offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Remembrance Day. City Council's planning, heritage and economic development committee meeting will be pushed to Tuesday at 4:30pm. The rest of city council's scheduled remains intact.

The 311 call centre will be closed on Monday and reopen Tuesday. However, the 211 call centre will be open 24 hours as usual.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park is closed on Mondays but registered swimming lessons will go on as scheduled. Cannon Cove is open from 10am to 8pm.

All three Windsor-Essex school boards will have classes as usual on Monday, along with the University of Windsor.

The City of Windsor's Monday garbage and recycling collection will go on, and the city's public drop-off and household chemical waste depots at EC Row and Central will be open as usual from 8am to 5pm. Winter hours begin on December 4.

All city community centres, arenas and indoor pools will be open normal hours, along with the Windsor Public Library. Parking enforcement will operate regular Monday schedules.

Transit Windsor will operate its regular weekday schedule, though the tunnel bus to Detroit operates on a special schedule after 7pm due to closures at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel.
