Two weeks after an elderly woman was beaten and left for dead near a trail in east Windsor, a 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder.
Habibullah (Daniel) Ahmad was originally charged with one count of aggravated assault in the October 8 attack of a 75-year-old woman on the Ganatchio Trail, east of Little River Rd. and Riverdale Ave. He was additionally charged with attempted murder on Monday.
The woman was found unconscious around 8am on October 8 after what police call an unprovoked and random attack. She was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. An update on her condition has not been made available.
