Spitfires Edge Storm 2-1

The Windsor Spitfires topped the Guelph Storm 2-1 in OHL action on Friday.

After a scoreless first period, Daniel D'Amico drew first blood for Windsor with a goal 11:20 into the second.  Aaron Luchuk scored for the Spitfires less than a minute later to make it 2-0 going into the third.

Guelph scored with less than two minutes left in the game to cut Windsor's lead in half, but the Storm couldn't tie it up to force overtime.

Windsor goaltender Michael DiPietro made 45 saves out of 46 shots on net.

The Spitfires are in Owen Sound on Saturday to face off against the Attack. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
